Inductee Biography for JON RAUHOUSE

Jon Rauhouse, is a veteran multi-instrumentalist and a master of all things stringed from the banjo to pedal steel guitar. Jon has been a mainstay of the Tempe and Phoenix Music scene since the late 70’s. He has been on tour or recording with Neko Case since 1999. Jon has been very generous with his talent in his more than 45 year career playing with any local band that would ask. These have included playing as regular members in such bands as Norm Pratt, Jim Bachmann and the Daydrinkers, The Sunpunchers, The MacDaddios, Blaine Long, and many many others. Jon has toured nationally with artists such as: Iron and Wine, Ben Bridwell (Band of Horses), Jakob Dylan (The Wallflowers), The Boxmasters (featuring Billy Bob Thornton), Sally Timms (The Mekons), Calexico, Jon Doe, Eric Bachman, Jon Langford, Billy Bragg, Giant Sand, and Grievous Angels, to name a few. He has released six of his own records. He has added his talents to over 70 national releases, and had the opportunity to play with Les Paul before he passed away.
