Walt Richardson – A Day for Walt- Saturday, January 18, 2014, 5 p.m. A birthday celebration and special tribute was paid to Walt Richardson at the Tempe Center for the Arts (TCA) hosted by Mark Zubia. Mayor Mark Mitchell and members of the Tempe City Council declared January 18, 2014 to be Walt Richardson Day. At this ceremony Walt was also inducted into the Arizona Entertainment and Music Hall of Fame (AMEHOF). Music was provided by Hans Olson & Chuck Hall, the Sugar Thieves, William Eaton, Jesse Valenzuela of the Gin Blossoms and the Zubia brothers, followed by a special reunion performance by Walt Richardson and the Morningstar Band, with Donnie Dean & Andy Gonzales.

The AMEHOF Third Annual Induction Ceremony was held at the Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix, AZ on 2-13-11. The 2011 Inductees (12) were Chico Chism, Dick Van Dyke, Dolan Ellis, Lee Hazlewood, Al McCoy, Sam Moore, The Reed Family, Goose Creek Symphony, Marshall Trimble,Tanya Tucker, Billy Williams and venue JD’s. Master of Ceremonies was Marty Manning. Musical performance by Billy Cioffi with the Monte Carlos plus Cali Rodi, Marshall Trimble, Dolan Ellis, Margo Reed & Michael Reed, Bob Corritore, Hans Olson and Goose Creek Symphony.
