Inductee Biography for BOB CORRITORE

Blues harp player, DJ, club owner and producer.

If Bob Corritore were just a radio DJ, he would be one of the most durable that Arizona has ever seen. He’s hosted Those Lowdown Blues on KJZZ-FM since 1984. But Bob is a triple-threat, his love of the blues has made him one of the most notable blues harp players of his generation. Since he relocated to Phoenix in 1981, from Wilmette, Illinois, he’s produced albums for other artists, recorded his own and played with Big Pete Pearson, Louisiana Red and Chico Chism, just to name a few. If that wasn’t enough, Bob is the owner of the Rhythm Room, which has been a major blues venue in Phoenix since he opened it in 1991. After 40 years, we’re sure he’s got more in the tank and that’s why we’re proud to induct him into the Arizona Music & Entertainment Hall of Fame.
